Design and research for icon database
I designed a prototype that reimagines both the layout and functionality for an icon database. In its creation I developed simplified views, ease in navigation and an upleveled experience that meets modern expectations. The intended audience is internal users such as developers, project managers and designers. The database supports the exchange of new and existing icons and includes features like advanced searchability, detailed views, report building and delivery of final assets.
In my research for inspiration, I looked at external icon resources like nounproject.com and flaticon.com for how they handle layout, icon details and searchability. I also looked at internal corporate apps and databases to identify common functionalities and where styles and data modules can align.
